Tuesday night at the Rodger Smith Hotel brought out a diverse crowd of both new and already established local NYC businesses. The goal: educate this eager group about the growing power of social media techniques. Whether they are currently using social media as a marketing tool, or are brand new to the idea, this event was aimed at providing tips, giving demos, and talking about the success of this new marketing tactic. Butter Lane cupcakes shared their experiences with social media marketing, and helped attendees to understand the magnitude of networking that this can create. It was exciting to hear that a small local business could generate so much awareness simply through establishing their voice on the internet. We were also able to generate our own ideas on different social media marketing techniques simply by hearing stories of other businesses.
