Allen Tate Realtors has been in the real estate industry for nearly five decades and the only fact that remains constant is that all real estate is local. While homes in the hottest urban markets, such as Las Vegas or Washington DC area, have been rising in value from 20 percent to as high as 40 percent annually, the Charlotte and Triad region in NC has been affected buy the housing downturn but, our average home prices are still affordable.
The success of any real estate market is based on three basic economic realities: strong job's and population growth, builders haven’t exceeded the market’s capacity and speculators haven't driven up prices as was done in many markets such as California.
Charlotte NC is the right place and the right time. Interest rates remain favorable. Job creation is priority. The population is growing in (North Carolina especially the city of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County. The projection in population growth for 2015 is nearly 1 million from now 700+ thousand).

So I have this dream, where I become famous on the Internet. Nothing unintentional, like Chris Crocker, but by making a deliberate attempt at becoming an online celebrity. By the way, I've only entertained this idea for a little under two weeks, but I'm surprised it took me so long to get started on this. Especially since I ALWAYS follow my dreams. Anyways, it doesn't really mean much for now, since I don't know how I'm going to go about reaching Internet fame. However, it is the reason why I've registered my own domain:
As I've stated in the previous post, I'm not too sure what I'm going to be doing with the site. I just feel that it' a step in the right direction if I'm really going to be taking this shit seriously. For now, it's just my tumblr.
Also, I've decided to invade the Internet. This means posting on multiple blog mediums. I'm currently the proud owner of:
As you can see, I like having my name on shit. For now, all these will be pretty much the same. I use postling.com to help me manage all of them, except for my facebook fan page. I forgot I even made that shit before I left home. So, bookmark, follow, subscribe, or whatever the hell it is you do, but just read my shit. You'll be helping me reach my dreams. I know this is all pretty shameless, but I think this is the most hilarious thing I've decided to do in a long time. It's even funnier than when I decided to do magic as a hobby.

That's right. I registered my own domain and it's currently up and running. For now, it just redirects to my tumblr while I look for a host. There will probably also be a few kinks in the next few weeks while I'm figuring out how to run my shit, but it shouldn't be too long until it's finalized. I'm not entirely sure what I'll be doing with new piece of Internet real estate, but what I do know is that it's fucking awesome.

It's been a while since I've played music up in front of other humans, but next week THIS WILL CHANGE.
On Jan 23 I'll be one of the openers for Family Fun at Hank's Saloon in Brooklyn ( 43 3rd Ave ). As you can tell by their name, they know how to have a good time.
Will I remember how to play the guitar in time? Do I have the facility to express cogent ideas through song? Has the grim specter of time weathered away all but my most basic of functions? Come find out!
I'll be playing songs about slinging code, sandwich spokesmen, italian plumbers, lonely mascara enthusiasts, and MAYBE whatever you want.
What do YOU think I should sing about?

Jon Steinberg recorded the Hackers & Founders demos tonight held at our offices (also known as Dogpatch Labs). Here's a video of me presenting. The lighting is bad so you can't see my face much, but it's there if you're interested.
The proposed Ticketmaster-Live Nation merger is about to come to a head. In the next few weeks, the U.S. Department of Justice will be deciding whether to permit the merger, which, if approved, will have a drastic impact on the future of the live music industry.
For those unfamiliar with details of the merger, here are a few key points:
Ticketmaster and Live Nation are the preeminent ticketing and concert promotions agencies in the United States. A merger would allow the single Ticketmaster-Live Nation agency ownership of over 100 venues and management of contracts for over 300 artists.
The merger would prevent competition from local, independent promoters in cities across the U.S. It would essentially ignore U.S. antitrust laws.
Ticketmaster is already known for charging high "convenience" fees. Merging with Live Nation would further allow Ticketmaster to monopolize ticket prices as the new Ticketmaster-Live Nation agency gained control of the market through the elimination of competition.
